Mendelsohn sets development slate
Mendelsohn "CSI" showrunner Carol Mendelsohn has set her first development slate, including projects in position at CBS, the CW, Forex and TNT. It has been annually since Carol Mendelsohn Prods. released inside a pod cope with CBS Television Galleries. Former WME agent Julie Weitz signed on as leader of production in August 2010. Earlier this year, Mendelsohn obtained an airplane pilot pickup from TNT for "Scent from the Missing," a drama hour starring Tricia Helfer and Gerald McRaney. In line with the book by Susannah Charleson, the pilot follows a detective and her canine companion. Consistent with her roots in crime drama, Mendelsohn has multiple projects representing the genre setup in the network where she's obtained her greatest hit. CBS can also be developing "Widow Detective." The script: After getting three partners wiped out within the type of duty, a decorated police detective switches into their own families becoming husband/lover/father. David Hubbard ("Noel") will write and executive produce.Another CBS script order is "Murder Room," the real story of the renowned profiler, forensic artist, and leading investigator for that FBI who form a team to research crimes which have stupefied police force all over the world. In line with the book by Michael Capuzzo, "Room" is going to be written and executive created by George Nolfi ("The Adjustment Bureau"). As formerly reported, another CBS script order from Mendelsohn is "Two Badges," in regards to a police detective with roots within the barrio she polices. Mendelsohn has a set of hrs in development at CW: "The Hollows," in regards to a private-eye witch dealing with local police force agencies to combat risks both mundane and supernatural, from Jordan Hawley ("Smallville") and "Unearthly," in regards to a girl who knows that her future would be to become an angel, from Kevin Murphy ("Caprica") and Robin Schorr ("Food, Corporation."). Mendelsohn also offers a drama within the running at Forex: "Throwdown Gun" from "LA Private" author James Ellroy, who professional produces with Clark Billings ("Monster"). The lives of the whitened cop along with a black cop are forever connected after masking a violent crime while working -- the effects which alter race relations in La.
